Bio: Roman Skaskiw is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His
work has appeared on the New York Times’ Homefires blog, in The Atlantic, Stanford Magazine, Front Porch Journal, In The Fray Magazine, on GoNomad.com and elsewhere. He served as an infantry officer with the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan and Iraq, and, more recently, on a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan.

He is currently working on a memoir about his most recent tour of duty in Afghanistan, and feeding himself by doing web design. Need a website?
